PTI strongly denounces state-sponsored terrorism and disappearance of senior leader in Lahore, demanding justice and protection for political workers' rights.

In a recent development, a spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly denounced the disappearance of Abdul Kareem, the party's senior vice-president in Lahore, and a prominent candidate. The spokesperson expressed deep concern over the safety and rights of PTI workers and leaders, attributing their endangerment to what was described as state-sponsored terrorism.

Allegations were made against the state for engaging in continuous atrocities and interference, which were deemed as provocative acts to incite public outrage. Despite facing these challenges, PTI has demonstrated remarkable restraint in response to what was perceived as destructive schemes aimed at destabilizing the nation.

Recent incidents, such as the enforced disappearances of relatives of Azhar Mashwani, a senior PTI social media team member, were cited as examples of state impunity. Criticism was directed towards the judiciary for its perceived failure to hold accountable those responsible for such actions, including alleged complicit state agents and mandate thieves.

Law enforcement and intelligence agencies were also scrutinized for operating beyond legal boundaries and targeting law-abiding citizens. The spokesperson urged the chief justice to address the severe persecution of political workers and called for the immediate release of individuals like Abdul Kareem, Professor Mazhar Mashwani, and Professor Zahoor Mashwani from illegal detention.

Furthermore, the spokesperson highlighted the need for the protection and fair treatment of political workers such as Sanam Javed and Aliya Hamza. Despite being released on court orders, these individuals were reportedly re-detained under new charges.

A stern warning was issued by PTI, indicating that peaceful yet significant nationwide protests would be initiated if the prevailing lawlessness and intimidation persisted. The party expressed its intent to mobilize supporters to challenge what was perceived as oppressive actions by the state and advocate for their rights.

The situation involving the disappearance of PTI leaders and the alleged state-sponsored terrorism has raised serious concerns within the party. PTI continues to call for justice, accountability, and the protection of political workers' rights. The party's stance reflects a commitment to peaceful advocacy and mobilization to address the challenges faced by its members.
