Rawalpindi Police, in collaboration with City Traffic Police (CTP), has launched a major operation to tackle the perilous trend of one-wheeling during the Eid festivities. Over 300 officers have been deployed strategically across the city to combat this reckless behavior, which poses a significant threat to public safety.

The concerted efforts of the police aim to deter and apprehend individuals attempting one-wheeling stunts on motorcycles, ensuring the safety of both riders and pedestrians. Special police deployments and pickets have been set up at key locations such as Peshawar Road, Mall Road, Jhelum Road, Old Airport Road, Murree Road, and Sixth Road to prevent one-wheeling incidents.

Parents are urged to cooperate with City Traffic Police Rawalpindi in safeguarding their children from accidents related to one-wheeling. Chief Traffic Officer Taimoor Khan emphasized the importance of monitoring children during Eid ul-Fitr and refraining from providing them with motorcycles or vehicles at a young age, which is illegal.

Furthermore, the CTO issued a stern warning to motorcycle mechanics involved in modifying motorcycles for one-wheeling. These mechanics are under close surveillance, and strict legal action will be taken against those caught red-handed. Any mechanic found facilitating one-wheeling activities will face the consequences, including the filing of a formal FIR.

The proactive measures taken by Rawalpindi Police and City Traffic Police reflect their commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents during the festive period. By cracking down on one-wheeling, they aim to prevent accidents and protect the well-being of the community.
