Under IGP Islamabad's leadership, Islamabad Police intensifies efforts to combat drug abuse, arresting 10 drug dealers and seizing illegal substances in a recent crackdown.

Under the guidance of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police have taken a proactive stance against drug abuse with the initiation of the 'Nasha Ab Nahi' campaign. The primary objective of this campaign is to eradicate the menace of narcotics and protect the youth from the harmful effects of substance abuse.

In a recent crackdown, the Islamabad Police have made significant strides in curbing drug-related activities. Over the past 24 hours, a total of 10 drug dealers have been apprehended in various parts of the city, with a substantial amount of illegal substances seized from their possession.

Acting swiftly on the directives issued by the IGP, law enforcement teams have conducted successful operations leading to multiple arrests and drug seizures. Aabpara police arrested Shahzada Tahir in possession of 230 grams of ice, while Karachi Company police detained Imran Imanat with 22 bottles of liquor. Industrial Area police caught Aamir Masih with 30 bottles of liquor, Noon police apprehended Aziz Ullah with 515 grams of hashish, and Khanna police nabbed Darman Khan with 43 grams of ice.

Moreover, Koral police arrested Muhammad Junaid and Aisha with 670 grams of heroin and 15 grams of ice, Kirpa police detained Muhammad Awais with 18 grams of ice, and Humak police apprehended Samuel Saghar with 1,030 grams of heroin and 227 grams of ice. Lastly, Shahzad Town police caught Nayar Iqbal with 570 grams of heroin, all of whom are facing legal actions with ongoing investigations.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Islamabad, Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, has emphasized the need for intensified efforts to combat criminal activities. The safety and security of the citizens are of paramount importance, with a strict zero-tolerance policy towards any form of negligence in maintaining law and order.

The 'Nasha Ab Nahi' campaign launched by the Islamabad Police reflects a strong commitment to creating a drug-free environment and ensuring the well-being of the community. Through targeted operations and decisive actions against drug dealers, the law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly to safeguard the youth and uphold the rule of law in the capital city.
