City traffic police in Lahore have cracked down on underage and unlicensed drivers, with a total of 269,612 unlicensed drivers being issued challan tickets this year. Chief Traffic Officer Amara Athar revealed that an additional 32,000 motorcycles were stopped for underage driving violations.

During the enforcement drive, young drivers were stopped and cautioned. They were allowed to go with a warning under the condition that their parents would ensure they do not drive without a valid license. CTO Athar stressed the significance of this campaign in preventing accidents and promoting safe travel. She highlighted the crucial role parents play in shaping their children's driving behavior.

This initiative aims to make the roads safer for everyone by ensuring that only licensed individuals operate vehicles. By targeting underage and unlicensed drivers, the traffic police are taking a proactive step towards reducing road accidents and creating a culture of responsible driving.
