Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appoints Rana Tanveer Hussain to ECC, ensuring stability and continuity in economic decision-making.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made significant changes to the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet by appointing Rana Tanveer Hussain, the federal minister for industries and production, as its newest member. This move has expanded the ECC's membership to 7 individuals. The committee will continue to be chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, with other key members including federal ministers for commerce, energy, petroleum, economic affairs, and planning.

It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had initially removed the finance minister from the ECC and intended to take over the chairmanship himself. However, he later reversed this decision and reinstated Muhammad Aurangzeb as the head of the committee.

The ECC is a crucial body responsible for making decisions on economic matters and ensuring coordination among various ministries. Its role is vital in formulating policies and strategies to promote economic growth and stability in the country.

The reconstitution of the ECC under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the inclusion of Rana Tanveer Hussain as a member, reflects the government's commitment to effective economic governance. The continued chairmanship of Muhammad Aurangzeb signifies stability and continuity in the committee's operations, which are essential for addressing the economic challenges facing Pakistan.
