Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announces the expansion of Daanish Schools to provide quality education and accommodation for underprivileged children in remote areas, addressing the education emergency in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the establishment of Daanish Schools in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and remote areas of Balochistan and Sindh. These schools aim to provide quality education to children from economically disadvantaged families, fulfilling the vision of Quaid-e-Azam's Pakistan. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for all children, regardless of their background, by offering free education and accommodation at the upcoming Daanish School in Kuri, Islamabad.
With an alarming 26 million out-of-school children in Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared an education emergency, committing to fully fund the construction of Daanish Schools in various regions. The project, initiated under PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif's vision, aims to bridge the gap between elite and low-income group education. Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui praised the initiative and called for utilizing all available resources to address education challenges.
Daanish Schools have already made a positive impact, with students excelling in debates, sports, and other fields internationally. The expansion of this project to other parts of the country is underway, with a focus on providing quality education to youth to enhance their employability in the global market. Students like Usman Akram from Daanish School in Attock have highlighted the significant role these schools play in improving literacy rates and preparing students from low-income backgrounds for national development.
