The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) and Teachers’ Resource Centre (TRC) organized a conference focusing on empowering youth leaders to address climate change through innovative projects and grassroots solutions.

The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) and Teachers’ Resource Centre (TRC) recently organized the 1st Cluster Conference, focusing on climate change education. The event was designed to empower youth leaders to take sustainable climate action. Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Humayun Shaheen, Dr. Sardar Muhammad Rafique Khan, Syeda Tahira Kazimi, and Dr. Mumtaz Hussain, highlighted the significance of youth-led initiatives in addressing climate challenges.

During the conference, students engaged in workshops to create projects aimed at mitigating and adapting to climate change in their local communities. These projects will be presented as innovative solutions to address regional climate issues. Dr. Shaheen emphasized the importance of involving young minds, while Dr. Rafique Khan advocated for grassroots solutions. Syeda Tahira Kazmi underscored the empowerment of youth, and Dr. Hussain stressed the need to translate ideas into actionable projects.
