The Information Department of the Government of Sindh recently organized the 'Pegham-e-Aman' conference in Karachi to pay tribute to the martyrs of the nation. The event, graced by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, commemorated the significance of May 9, a day marred by an attempt to sow discord among the Pakistani people through a conspiracy. Despite the challenges, the unity of the Pakistani nation prevailed, thwarting the divisive intentions of the conspirators.

Chief Minister Shah underscored the sacrifices of visionary leaders such as Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, who steadfastly upheld the principles of democracy. He emphasized the crucial role of political leadership in safeguarding national security and fostering unity, steering clear of divisive agendas.

Condemning the events of May 9 as a grave conspiracy, Chief Minister Shah called upon all citizens to protect the country in honor of its martyrs. Despite facing adversities and arrests, the Pakistan People's Party has consistently advocated for peaceful protests as a cornerstone of democracy.

Chief Minister Shah also paid homage to the valor of Shaheed Captain Colonel Sher Khan, who valiantly defended Pakistan's borders against the Indian Army. He expressed dismay over the desecration of Captain Colonel Sher Khan's statue in Mardan and demanded accountability for those responsible.

On the occasion of Peace Day, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering commitment to peace and denounced acts of violence that tarnish the nation's reputation. He stressed the imperative of unity and condemned any efforts to instigate unrest among the youth.

Memon highlighted the Pakistan People's Party's peaceful stance in the face of injustices and tragedies. He urged parents to steer their children towards positive influences, emphasizing the significance of upholding the country's honor and honoring its martyrs.
