The University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (UAJK) is embarking on a new era of academic excellence with the infusion of state-of-the-art educational equipment, generously funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). Valued at over four billion rupees, this transformative project aims to elevate various teaching departments at the King Abdullah Campus of the university.

The initiative includes the provision of advanced resources for science laboratories, information and communication technologies, textile-related machinery, as well as equipment for art and design, biotechnology, and other disciplines. Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, the university has made significant strides in promoting modern, skillful, and quality education and research since his appointment in 2017.

A historic agreement was signed on July 28, 2022, under the auspices of the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, highlighting the shared commitment to advancing education and fostering academic excellence in the region. The ongoing delivery of cutting-edge equipment from countries like the USA, UK, and Germany will continue until August this year, further enhancing the academic infrastructure of UAJK.

The collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan through this project underscores a joint dedication to human resource development and educational advancement in the region, solidifying the King Abdullah Campus as a symbol of enduring political, economic, and academic cooperation.
