University of the Punjab excels in QS World University Rankings

The University of the Punjab has achieved significant recognition in the latest QS World University Rankings, with a total of 19 subjects being ranked by the prestigious organization for the first time. The QS ranking, known for its credibility in academic circles worldwide, analyzed nearly 5,000 higher education institutions and ranked 1,561 across 5 broad subject and 55 narrow subject areas.

Among the notable rankings, the subject of Library and Information Management at the University of the Punjab secured a position in the 50-70 range globally, marking a significant milestone for the institution. Additionally, subjects such as Petroleum Engineering, Languages, and Mathematics were ranked in the top 150-300 range, showcasing the diverse academic strengths of the university.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, expressed his pride in the faculty, students, and staff for the remarkable improvement in the university's ranking. He attributed this success to the satisfaction of renowned academics and employers, as well as the continuous growth in Scopus indexed research publications, citations, and H-index.
