The Punjab University Department of Archaeology, in collaboration with Rational Dialogue, organized a seminar focusing on Lahore's Heritage. Key figures highlighted the importance of preserving cultural heritage and educating on Lahore's rich cultural history.

The Punjab University (PU) Department of Archaeology, in collaboration with Rational Dialogue, recently organized a seminar focusing on 'Lahore’s Heritage'. The event aimed to delve into the modern heritage and cultural history of Lahore, drawing attention to the significance of preserving cultural heritage.

Key figures present at the seminar included Deputy Director of Punjab Archaeology, Muhammad Iqbal Manj, Chairman of PU Department of Archaeology, Dr. Muhammad Hameed, historian Anjum Rehmani, Talha Shafiq, former Director of Lahore Museum, Muhammad Usman, and Architect Dr. Rizwan Azeem, along with faculty members and students.

During the seminar, Iqbal Manj stressed the importance of cultural heritage preservation and informed students about upcoming programs. He underlined the necessity of understanding the value of preserving cultural heritage and assured full cooperation from his department. Dr. Muhammad Hameed reiterated the commitment of PU’s Department of Archaeology to play a crucial role in raising awareness about the importance of Pakistan’s cultural heritage. He mentioned that similar activities would be organized in the future in collaboration with other institutions. Additionally, Dr. Anjum Rehmani and Talha Shafiq shared insights on the historical significance of old Ravi Lahore and Jalianwala Bagh, respectively.
