Calls for Reform Echo in Lawless 'Katcha' Region

The 'Katcha' region in Pakistan, encompassing areas like Ghotki, Kashmore, and Shikarpur, has become synonymous with lawlessness and terror, reminiscent of the infamous 'Sundown Towns' in the USA. Here, bandits reign supreme, imposing a strict curfew where no one is safe to wander even during daylight hours.

Recent heinous crimes, such as the brutal murder of school teacher Allah Rakhiyo Nindwani and the killing of Dr. Ajmal Sawand, have shed light on the dire situation in Kandhkot. These incidents, often dismissed as personal vendettas by authorities, are just the tip of the iceberg in a region plagued by rampant violence and lawlessness.

The once peaceful and prosperous province of Sindh now finds itself in turmoil, with feudal lords and political elements exacerbating the plight of the population.
