In a heartbreaking turn of events, five children from the same family tragically lost their lives in Sanghar district, Sindh province, due to consuming contaminated groundwater. The District Health Officer (DHO) of Sanghar disclosed that these devastating fatalities occurred within a two-day period, sending shockwaves through the community.

Responding swiftly to the crisis, the DHO personally visited the affected area and promptly ordered the closure of the suspected water pump responsible for the contamination. As a precautionary measure, the use of groundwater in the vicinity was immediately stopped.
