Senator Sherry Rehman confirms resolution of budget concerns

After a lengthy six-hour meeting, special committees from the ruling PML-N and its key ally PPP have reached an agreement on the concerns raised by the PPP regarding the recently unveiled federal budget for 2024-25 and the development plan for Punjab. Senator Sherry Rehman has confirmed that the PML-N government has effectively addressed most of the PPP's reservations.

The meeting, which took place amidst growing tensions between the two parties, aimed to resolve differences and ensure a smooth implementation of the budget and development plan. The PPP had expressed concerns about certain aspects of the budget and the development projects in Punjab, seeking reassurances from the PML-N.
