An inspection team from the Wafaqi Mohtasib’s Office is set to visit the Excise and Taxation Office (ETO) in Islamabad on Monday, April 22. The visit comes in response to a surge in public complaints regarding maladministration at the ETO.
Wafaqi Mohtasib, Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, initiated the inspection following numerous grievances related to delays and difficulties in vehicle registration, tax assessment, and examination processes. The Inspection Team, led by a Senior Advisor, will conduct a thorough investigation into the alleged malpractices, undesirable activities, and irregularities at the ETO that have been causing inconvenience to the public.
During the visit, the team will engage with the public, listen to their complaints firsthand, and interview individuals at the ETO. The aim is to gather insights and recommendations to address the issues and collaborate with the ETO administration to implement effective solutions.
This proactive step by the Wafaqi Mohtasib’s Office underscores its commitment to ensuring transparency and efficiency in public service delivery. By addressing the concerns raised by citizens, the inspection team aims to restore trust and streamline operations at the ETO for the benefit of the general public.
