The Meteorological Office forecasts hot and humid weather in Lahore due to a continental air mass and westerly wave. Isolated rain-thunderstorms possible in specific regions. Residents advised to stay hydrated and take precautions.

On Sunday, Lahore witnessed partly cloudy skies and humid weather conditions, with the Meteorological Office forecasting similar weather patterns for the next 24 hours. Meteorological officials have attributed these conditions to a continental air mass prevailing over most parts of the country, along with a shallow westerly wave in the northern regions.

The forecast for the upcoming day indicates predominantly hot and dry weather across most areas of the city. However, there is a possibility of isolated rain-thunderstorms in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Gusty winds are also expected in the plains.

Notable rainfall was recorded in Dir, Drosh, Mir Khani, and Chitral. The highest maximum temperatures on Sunday were reported in Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjo Daro, and Jacobabad, where temperatures soared to 43°C. Meanwhile, Lahore experienced a maximum temperature of 37.8°C, with a minimum temperature of 22.9°C.

The weather conditions in Lahore are expected to remain warm and dry, with the possibility of sporadic rain showers in certain regions. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to cope with the prevailing weather conditions.
