Today, most parts of Pakistan, including Lahore, are expected to endure extremely hot and dry weather. However, there is a glimmer of hope as the Meteorological Department predicts the likelihood of rain in Islamabad, certain areas of Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan later in the day.

On Tuesday, Sibbi recorded the highest temperature in the country, soaring to a blistering 48 degrees Celsius. Other cities also experienced sweltering conditions, with Gujranwala reaching 47 degrees, Mandi Bahauddin and Dadu at 46 degrees, and several other cities like Lahore, Sargodha, Turbat, and Bannu hitting 45 degrees. Multan, Sahiwal, and Faisalabad were not far behind, registering temperatures of 43 degrees.
