Karachi Weather Update: Rainfall Decrease, System Shifts Away

In recent weather news, Karachi has experienced a significant decrease in the likelihood of rainfall. This change is attributed to the movement of the weather system responsible for precipitation away from the city. The system, which initially brought both heat and rain to Karachi, has now shifted towards the sea due to northeastern winds blowing at a speed of 25 kilometres per hour from Balochistan on Friday afternoon. This shift has notably reduced the chances of rain in the region. Additionally, the low-pressure area in the Arabian Sea, which had been influencing the weather patterns, has moved further away from Karachi and weakened compared to the previous day.

While there is still a possibility of rain until Saturday afternoon, meteorologists predict that the system will dissipate over the Arabian Sea by Saturday evening. Earlier forecasts had indicated thunderstorms and rain for Friday and Saturday, but Karachi experienced hot and humid weather on Friday with partly cloudy conditions in some areas. The temperature on Friday reached a maximum of 38.8 degrees Celsius, slightly lower than the previous day, with a humidity level of 49%. Notably, the highest temperatures in rural Sindh were recorded in Jacobabad and Dadu, reaching 43 degrees Celsius.

As the weather system moves away from Karachi, the chances of rainfall have decreased, providing residents with a clearer outlook for the upcoming days. While the possibility of rain lingers until Saturday afternoon, the overall weather conditions are expected to improve as the system dissipates over the Arabian Sea.
