The Meteorological Department in Pakistan has announced upcoming weather changes that are set to bring relief from the intense heat gripping the country. Starting from June 18, moist winds from the Arabian Sea will sweep across the upper and central regions, ushering in cooler temperatures and much-needed precipitation.

Regions like Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to experience rain, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms from June 18 to June 22. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the weather will initially remain hot and dry until June 18, followed by potential dust storms and thunderstorms with rain in areas like Chitral and Abbottabad from June 18 to June 22.

Similarly, Balochistan will face extreme heat and dry conditions until June 18, with chances of dust storms and sporadic rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Galyat from June 18 to June 22. Residents of Bahawalpur, Multan, and Khanewal should prepare for dust storms, gusty winds, and thunderstorms with rain expected from June 20 to June 22.

In Sindh, high temperatures are forecasted from June 17 to June 20, with a possibility of heavy rainfall in Sukkur and Jacobabad from June 21 to June 22. Overall, a decrease in the prevailing heatwave is anticipated across various regions from June 19 to June 22.
