Over 100 educational institutions in New Delhi evacuated following a bomb threat, confirmed as a hoax by authorities. Governor of Delhi instructs police to identify and apprehend culprits to ensure student safety and prevent future incidents.
Over a hundred educational institutions in New Delhi, the capital of India, were evacuated following a bomb threat. The Delhi police, after conducting thorough search operations, confirmed that the threat was a hoax. They reassured the public that the safety of all students was a top priority and that there was no need for panic.
The Ministry of Home Affairs also weighed in, stating that the threatening emails were likely false alarms and that there was no imminent danger. Despite the emails being traced back to an IP address in Russia, authorities suspect that a VPN was used to conceal the true origin of the threats.
Schools such as Delhi Public School (DPS), Mother Mary’s School, Sanskriti School, Amity School, and DAV School were among the targeted institutions. This incident is not an isolated one, as similar threats were reported earlier this year in February.
The Governor of Delhi has instructed the police to swiftly identify and apprehend those responsible for these malicious threats. The safety and security of students and staff remain paramount, and measures are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
