The Louvre museum in Paris plans to host yoga and sport sessions in its galleries as part of a city-wide cultural program leading up to the Olympics. Paris is gearing up for the upcoming Games with various activities, fan zones, and an emphasis on community engagement.

The Louvre museum in Paris has announced plans to host yoga and sport sessions within its galleries as part of a city-wide cultural program leading up to the Olympics. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to participate in dance, yoga, and workout sessions while surrounded by the museum's iconic artworks. This initiative is part of a broader effort to generate excitement for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, set to commence on July 26.

The Louvre, situated at the heart of Paris, will play a central role in the Olympic festivities. In addition to the special sessions, the museum will feature an Olympics-themed exhibition, details of which can be found on its website. The opening ceremony will be held on the Seine River near the Louvre, with a temporary stadium being constructed at Place de la Concorde for skateboarding and breakdancing events. The Olympic flame will illuminate the Tuileries gardens, while other art destinations like the Musee d'Orsay will also offer sports and cultural activities.

Paris city hall has unveiled plans for public sports facilities, concerts, and fan zones across the city during the Olympics and Paralympics. A total of 26 fan zones will be established, along with special celebration areas where medal winners can interact with the public. The city aims to create a people's Games, emphasizing community engagement both within the event venues and throughout the city's districts.

To facilitate transportation during the Games, a new mobile app called 'Transport public Paris 2024' has been launched. The app provides real-time information on traffic and user numbers, guiding visitors to Olympic sites via suitable routes that distribute travelers among various transport options. With concerns about overcrowding on the underground train network, Parisians are encouraged to walk or cycle to alleviate congestion.

The upcoming Olympics in Paris, the first in a century, are scheduled to run from July 26 to August 11, followed by the Paralympics from August 28 to September 8.
