The inaugural World Camel Endurance Championship in AlUla saw Saudi racers excel in a traditional sport, showcasing their dominance and celebrating international camaraderie.

The inaugural World Camel Endurance Championship in AlUla witnessed Saudi competitors dominating the event, showcasing their prowess in the traditional sport. Organized in collaboration with the Royal Commission for AlUla Governorate, the championship featured both men's and women's categories, with participants from 20 countries.

In the men's competition, Saudi racers secured the top three positions in the first and second rounds. Fares Al-Juhani on Bayan clinched the first place with an impressive time of 15 minutes 54.27 seconds, followed by Nayef Al-Faydi on Munadi and Sulaiman Al-Huwaiti on Motaeb in second and third place, respectively.

On the women's side, Saudi racer Kholoud Al-Shammari on Jabbar emerged victorious with a time of 36 minutes 59.91 seconds. The second and third spots were claimed by a Jordanian and a German rider, highlighting the international participation in the championship.

The competition format included 16 km races divided into two 8 km stages, separated by a 30-minute break. After the initial stage, 20 male competitors and 15 female competitors advanced to the final stage, with the winners determined based on cumulative times from both stages.

The total prize pool for the tournament exceeded SR2 million ($533,333), with the champions in each category receiving SR500,000. The remaining prize money was distributed among the top 10 runners-up in both the men's and women's events.

In conclusion, the World Camel Endurance Championship in AlUla showcased the Saudi racers' dominance in the sport, while also celebrating cultural heritage and international camaraderie among participants from diverse backgrounds.
