The Provincial Minister of Industry and Commerce, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, emphasized the need for stringent monitoring of anti-hoarding and illegal profiteering activities during a recent visit to the Directorate General Industries Poonch House. The Minister, while presiding over a briefing session, highlighted the importance of cracking down on such practices to ensure fair market conditions.

During the meeting, the Directorate's performance, organizational structure, and challenges were discussed in detail. The progress of ongoing schemes under the annual development programme was also reviewed, with a focus on enhancing efficiency through reforms and modern technology.

Chaudhry Shafay Hussain stressed the presence of price control magistrates in the field to oversee pricing and urged for tangible outcomes rather than superficial measures. Immediate actions were directed to lower chicken prices, with an emphasis on the role of hard work and dedication in achieving set goals.

The DG Industries, Asif Ali Farrukh, informed that 1400 price control magistrates are actively monitoring essential commodity prices. Additionally, approvals for new cement factories and the establishment of three cement plants were highlighted. The registration of 2072 way bridges under the load management regime was also noted.
