The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) cabinet has recently given the green light to the establishment of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minerals Development and Management Company (KPMDMC). This new entity aims to focus on the exploration, development, excavation, processing, and marketing of minerals using modernized methods. The decision was made during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur.

Key decisions taken during the meeting include allocating additional resources to enhance law and order, supporting the police force, and optimizing revenue generation from the mineral sector through improved structures and processes. Amendments to the Motor Vehicle Ordinance were also discussed, with proposals to reallocate traffic fines for traffic education and equipment purchases, as well as contributing to the Police Welfare Fund.

Furthermore, the cabinet addressed compensation cases for property losses in Upper South Waziristan by approving a Citizen Losses Compensation Programme. Approval was also granted for security personnel to safeguard foreign nationals in Hazara Division. Legal provisions were invoked to allow the armed forces to assist in maintaining public security and law and order when necessary.

Other approvals included the inclusion of certain substances in the definition of explosives, concurrence for a federal loan for the Flood Protection Sector Project-III, energy conservation measures, appointments to committees and boards, and the upgradation of teachers in special education institutions. The cabinet also revised pay scales for teachers at institutes for the handicapped to ensure fair compensation for their qualifications and expertise.

The decisions made by the K-P cabinet reflect a commitment to promoting development, enhancing security, and ensuring fair compensation for various sectors. These initiatives are crucial for the overall progress and well-being of the region, demonstrating a proactive approach towards addressing key issues and fostering growth.
