The Anti Encroachment Force in Karachi apprehended two notorious land grabbers, leading to a crackdown on illegal land occupation in Sindh.

In a targeted operation conducted by the Anti Encroachment Force in District East of Karachi, two notorious land grabbers, Abid Tanveer and Shahenshah alias Siraiki, were apprehended for illegally possessing land near the Super Highway Police Station. The Director of Anti Encroachment Force, Raja Tariq Chandio, hailed the arrests as a significant breakthrough in the fight against land grabbing.

Following the apprehension, a case has been registered against the accused for unlawfully occupying land in interior Sindh. The First Information Report (FIR) lists the names of 15 most wanted land grabbers, with efforts underway to capture the remaining fugitives.

Last year, the Sindh government initiated a crackdown on high-profile land grabbers, culminating in the recent operation. A special task force has been established to reclaim both government and private land seized by these individuals. The Anti-Encroachment Force has already filed cases against 480 land grabbers in Sindh, with a significant number of arrests made in Karachi alone.

The ongoing efforts aim to curb the illegal occupation of valuable lands across the province, with the authorities committed to upholding the rule of law and protecting public property from exploitation by criminal elements.
