The recent report highlights 1314 road accidents, 20 fatalities, and 1450 injuries, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures and increased awareness among road users.

During the recent reporting period, a total of 1314 road accidents have occurred in various districts, leading to the unfortunate loss of twenty lives and injuries to 1450 individuals. Among the injured, 651 individuals with severe injuries were quickly taken to medical facilities, while 799 individuals with minor injuries received immediate treatment from Rescue Medical Teams.

An analysis of the incidents revealed that the casualties included 777 drivers, 48 underage drivers, 189 pedestrians, and 504 passengers. Lahore reported the highest number of road accidents, with 258 incidents affecting 293 individuals, making it the most affected district. Faisalabad followed with 89 accidents and 95 victims.

The data further indicated that the types of vehicles involved in these accidents were 1178 motorbikes, 79 auto-rickshaws, 126 motorcars, 32 vans, 10 buses, 37 trucks, and 119 other miscellaneous vehicles and slow-moving carts.

The alarming rise in road accidents across various districts highlights the urgent need for enhanced road safety measures and increased awareness among drivers, pedestrians, and passengers. It is crucial for authorities to take proactive steps to prevent such tragic incidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
