Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reduces roti price

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of Punjab announced a reduction in the price of roti, a traditional flatbread, from Rs20 to Rs16 across the province. President of the Nanbai Association, Shafique Qureshi, stated that they are willing to comply with the reduced price if provided with financial support from the government.

Despite the announcement, nanbais claim they have not received official orders to implement the new pricing structure. The situation highlights the challenges faced by both the government and local businesses in balancing affordability for consumers with sustainable business practices.
