Deputy Commissioner boosts MWMC's waste collection capacity

Multan Waste Management Company (MWMC) received a boost in its waste collection capacity with the donation of 62 new trash containers. The Deputy Commissioner, Captain (Retired) Rizwan Qadeer, handed over the containers, donated by the Farmers Development Organization (FDO), at a ceremony in Multan. The donation, consisting of 60 small and 2 large containers, aims to support MWMC's efforts in waste management.

During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships for the betterment of society. He praised FDO for its contribution to enhancing MWMC's waste collection capacity, emphasizing the collaboration between the private and public sectors for development initiatives.

Furthermore, efforts are underway to address the shortage of manpower in MWMC to ensure an efficient cleanliness mechanism in Multan. The Deputy Commissioner recognized the significance of such initiatives in creating a cleaner environment for the city's residents.

In a separate initiative, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has completed the plantation of 10,000 shady and fruit trees across different intersections and green belts in Multan. The Director General of PHA, Asif Rauf Khan, reaffirmed the commitment to making the city greener and cleaner under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's 'Green Future' Project.

Asif highlighted the importance of tree plantations for offering a clean and beautiful city to future generations. The successful implementation of the Green Future Project is crucial in ensuring a sustainable and eco-friendly environment for all residents of Multan.
