The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in DI Khan recently conducted a three-day training program for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) at Wensam College. The primary goal of this initiative was to provide community members with essential skills to effectively respond to emergencies. The training, held in collaboration with government departments, especially Rescue 1122, covered crucial areas such as first aid, firefighting, search and rescue, and disaster preparedness.

On the final day of the training, participants engaged in a realistic simulation exercise to put their newly acquired skills into practice. Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Arshad stressed the importance of community preparedness in mitigating the impact of disasters, underscoring the value of such training programs in achieving this objective.
