Dr. Rizwan Naseer leads Rescue 1122 during Eid emergencies

During the recent Eid holidays in Punjab, the dedicated team of Rescue 1122, under the leadership of Dr. Rizwan Naseer, the Secretary of Emergency Services, worked tirelessly to respond to a total of 30,317 emergencies across all districts of Punjab. These emergencies encompassed a wide range of situations, including road traffic accidents, medical emergencies, crime incidents, fire emergencies, delivery cases, falls, occupational injuries, and animal rescue operations.

The city of Lahore witnessed the highest number of emergencies, with Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, and Multan following suit. Conversely, Jhelum reported the lowest number of emergencies during this period. Notably, during Eid-ul-Azha, Lahore and Murree faced significant fire incidents that were successfully brought under control through the dedicated efforts of the firefighting teams.

Furthermore, incidents such as individuals falling into sewerage manholes, gas explosions, and major traffic accidents occurred in various districts, leading to casualties and injuries. Dr. Rizwan Naseer expressed his condolences for the lives lost during these emergencies, emphasizing the critical role of prompt and effective rescue operations in preventing such tragedies.
