DIG Pir Muhammad Shah leads security meeting in Sukkur

In preparation for the upcoming month of Muharram, a crucial security meeting was held in Sukkur to address the necessary arrangements. Led by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Pir Muhammad Shah, the meeting focused on the significance of conducting combing and searching operations. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amjad Ahmed Shaikh provided detailed briefings on the vigilance required in sensitive areas, procession routes, imambargahs, mosques, madrassahs, and entry/exit points throughout the month. The DIG stressed the need for thorough search operations in hotels, inns, and public places to enhance overall security measures. He also highlighted the importance of the deployed forces maintaining a high level of alertness at all times.

Furthermore, the meeting underscored the crucial role of the ulema in promoting peace and harmony during Muharram. Following the discussions, SSP Amjad Ahmed Shaikh personally visited several imambargahs to oversee security arrangements and issue directives to the staff, ensuring that all necessary precautions are in place.
