Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah leads a meeting to boost tourism and agriculture in the region through public-private partnerships and infrastructure enhancements.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah recently led a meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to discuss projects aimed at enhancing tourism and agriculture in the region as part of the Green Pakistan Initiative. The meeting, held at CM House and attended by provincial ministers and officials, focused on developing tourism sites, promoting desert safaris, and improving agricultural and livestock farms through partnerships between the public and private sectors.

Discussions centered around key initiatives, including the revitalization of popular tourist destinations like Keenjhar Lake, Haleji Lake, Hawks Bay, and Gorakh Hill Resorts. Renewal of the agreement between Keenjhar Lake Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) and the irrigation department was highlighted to move forward with plans dating back to 2006. Additionally, proposals for new tourism sites at Parchi Javeri and Nagarparkar were put forward.

Infrastructure improvements were also on the agenda, with plans for the reconstruction of a road from Karachi to Haleji Lake and enhancements to desert safari activities through special train services and attractive packages. The establishment of Sindh Tourism Police, cultivation of wild olives at Gorakh Hill, and the construction of an expressway connecting Karachi to Dadu were discussed as well. Corporate agriculture farming and fisheries projects, involving international companies in public-private partnerships, were emphasized for sustainable development.

The meeting concluded with directives for departments to submit proposals and take necessary actions to implement the discussed initiatives. Collaboration between the public and private sectors was underscored as crucial for the growth and prosperity of Sindh's tourism and agricultural sectors, paving the way for a brighter future for the province.
