Dir Lower Police recently conducted a successful operation resulting in the arrest of a gang of thieves involved in stealing batteries from mosques and motor pumps from wells in various areas across Dir Lower. The operation, led by District Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal, led to the apprehension of two suspects, Khan and Murad Ali, residents of Bajaur, Talaash. The police recovered six water-pump motors, two solar batteries, and the vehicle used in the crimes from the possession of the accused individuals.

Following their arrest, the suspects confessed to the crimes during the investigation and were subsequently sent to jail. In a separate crackdown on criminal activities, Lower Dir Police, under the directives of the DPO, successfully apprehended drug dealers in two different operations. Chakdara Police Station seized three kg and 745 grams of hashish from Zakaria, while Timergara Police Station arrested Amjad Ali with 535 grams of hashish in his possession.

Moreover, during the operations, the police also managed to arrest a proclaimed offender wanted in a murder case within an hour of a firing incident. The swift action by the Lower Dir Police highlights their commitment to maintaining law and order in the region and cracking down on criminal elements.
