In a recent development, the Lahore police have intensified their efforts to combat electricity theft in the city. As a result, more than 12,000 cases of electricity theft have been registered this year alone. The crackdown has led to the arrest of numerous suspects across different divisions of Lahore.

Arrests Across Various Divisions

According to a police spokesperson, the crackdown has been particularly active in different divisions of Lahore. In Iqbal Town Division, 1,720 suspects were apprehended, while in Saddar Division the number stood at 2,149. Cantt Division saw 3,480 arrests, Model Town Division had 1,782 suspects detained, City Division recorded 2,020 arrests, and Civil Lines Division saw 705 suspects taken into custody.

CCPO's Firm Stance

Capital City Police Officer Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has reaffirmed the commitment of the police force to continue the uncompromising crackdown against electricity thieves. He stressed the importance of providing full support to the relevant authorities in their efforts to curb electricity theft.
