The Islamabad Public Library recently hosted a dynamic three-day book fair, inaugurated by the Director General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration, Flt.Lt. (retd) Asim Ayub. The event aimed to cultivate a love for reading and unite book enthusiasts from all corners of the city. The opening ceremony commenced with a literary walk led by Muhammad Aqib Daniyal, President of The Pakistan Ideological Civilization, setting the tone for a day filled with book-centric activities. DG Asim Ayub, along with Muhammad Arshad, Director General of the Library Department, toured the various book stalls, interacting with visitors and offering guidance to the library staff.

In his address, DG Asim Ayub praised the Library Department's initiatives to promote reading and urged them to maintain a welcoming atmosphere for library patrons. He pledged the administration's support in providing top-notch facilities for readers. As part of a broader commitment to community and environmental responsibility, DG Asim Ayub and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz) planted a sapling during the event.

The book fair also featured a seminar titled 'Read Your Way,' where guest speakers and distinguished attendees shared insights on the significance of reading. The seminar concluded with a ceremony where contributors were recognized. The event will continue with additional seminars featuring renowned academicians and literary figures, offering a platform for Islamabad's readers to engage, discover new books, and participate in activities promoting literature and sustainability.
