Director General Kinza Murtaza leads RDA crackdown

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) under the leadership of Director General Kinza Murtaza has initiated a strict crackdown on encroachments within the city. The RDA's Enforcement Squad has been given clear instructions to target illegal constructions and encroachments that violate the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2020.

As part of this directive, the Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing has been assigned the responsibility to carry out robust enforcement actions against encroachments, unauthorized constructions, and commercial activities without any bias. Moreover, the Building Control Wing has been mandated to conduct a thorough survey on fees and charges associated with the approval of illegal residential and commercial buildings, commercialization, completion maps, and building plans. The ultimate goal is to regularize all illegal residential and commercial structures within the controlled area.

This proactive approach by the RDA aims to ensure that the city's development adheres to the established laws and regulations, promoting a safe and organized urban environment for all residents.
