Dr Ahmar Sohail Basra appointed Station Director at Radio Pakistan Lahore

Dr Ahmar Sohail Basra, a highly accomplished individual in the field of media studies, has assumed the role of Station Director at Radio Pakistan Lahore. With a strong educational background, Dr Basra completed his graduation from FC College Lahore with majors in Communication and Economics. He further pursued his Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Punjab, showcasing his dedication to the field.

Having started his career at Radio Pakistan Lahore in 2002, Dr Basra has since held various significant positions within the organization. His expertise was evident during his tenure as Senior Producer, where he contributed to renowned programs such as Sohni Dharti and Punjabi Darbar. Additionally, his proficiency in current affairs and drama sections led to his appointments as Programme Manager in Islamabad and Lahore.

Dr Basra's academic achievements include MPhil and PhD degrees in media studies, with his research thesis focusing on Screenplay Writing. His accolades extend beyond academia, with his radio drama 'Haqq Aur Hosla' winning prestigious awards at national festivals. Notably, his drama 'Rahe Rast' secured the first prize at the ISPR Drama Festival, highlighting his creative prowess.
