Imran Yaqoob Minhas Unveils Advanced Command Center in Karachi

On June 28, 2024, the Additional Inspector General of Police in Karachi, Imran Yaqoob Minhas, unveiled a cutting-edge command and control center in the Korangi Industrial Area. This initiative, led by Community Policing Karachi (CPK), marks a significant step towards enhancing security measures in the region. The center is outfitted with a total of 72 advanced surveillance cameras, including state-of-the-art ANPR cameras for efficient monitoring.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of distinguished guests such as DIGP - East Azfar Mahesar, Rangers Sector Commander Brigadier Asim Ashraf, and CPK Executive Director Murad Soni. During the event, detailed insights into the project were shared by Soni and DIGP - East Mahesar, highlighting the center's pivotal role in bolstering law enforcement efforts.

Karachi Police Chief Imran Yaqoob Minhas expressed his appreciation for the collaborative efforts of the CPK team and dignitaries involved in the project. He lauded the leadership of CPK Chief and his team for the successful establishment of the center, emphasizing its significance in enhancing public safety.

The newly operational command and control center in KIA features a network of 72 CCTV cameras, including advanced ANPR cameras capable of swiftly identifying vehicle number plates. These sophisticated surveillance tools are poised to strengthen crime prevention strategies in the industrial area, facilitating the swift identification and apprehension of potential suspects.
