Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announces new transport projects in Karachi post-Eid, including pink bus service expansion and free shuttle service to enhance public transportation in Sindh.

The Senior Minister of Sindh and Provincial Minister for Transport, Mass Transit, Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has announced a series of new transport projects set to be launched in Karachi immediately after Eid. These initiatives come following the directives of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, aimed at improving transportation facilities for the people of Sindh.

One of the key projects announced by Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon is the commencement of the second phase of the pink bus service dedicated to women in Karachi. This move is intended to further enhance travel options and safety for women in the city. Additionally, new routes for electric buses will be introduced post-Eid, offering a more sustainable mode of transportation.

Furthermore, the People’s Bus Service is scheduled to be inaugurated in Mirpurkhas, providing improved travel facilities for residents of the region. To streamline the commuting experience, a cashless ticket service will be introduced for public transport users, making payments more convenient and efficient.

In a bid to enhance connectivity, the Sindh government will launch a free shuttle service to link the Orange Line BRT and Red Line BRT systems. This initiative aims to facilitate seamless transfers for commuters using the rapid transit services in Karachi, promoting a more integrated public transportation network.

The free shuttle service is expected to benefit the people of Karachi by providing easier access to different parts of the city, and it is slated to begin operations immediately after Eid, marking a significant step towards improving the overall transportation infrastructure in Sindh.
