IGP Islamabad Launches Crackdown on Improper Parking

The Islamabad Police have initiated a strict crackdown on individuals who are parking their vehicles improperly, causing inconvenience to pedestrians and disrupting the smooth flow of traffic by occupying sidewalks. This move comes as a response to the increasing problem of haphazard parking in busy markets and commercial areas of the city.

Under the directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the police force has launched a targeted campaign to address the issue of incorrect parking. The IGP has specifically instructed SSP Traffic Muhammad Sarfraz Virk to oversee the operation, ensuring that vehicles parked in violation of traffic regulations are dealt with promptly.

To enforce these measures effectively, Zonal DSPs have been tasked with the responsibility of ensuring strict adherence to traffic rules and taking necessary action against individuals who fail to comply with parking regulations in the city.
