Karachi Mayor Wahab Collaborates with Roshni Helpline

On International Missing Children’s Day, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab met with a delegation from the Roshni Helpline to discuss the critical issue of child safety. Wahab highlighted the necessity of protecting children from exploitation and emphasized the significance of raising awareness about missing and exploited children in the city.

During the meeting, Wahab pledged to collaborate with various institutions to locate missing children and prevent their exploitation. He recognized children as the future and stressed the collective responsibility to safeguard them from harm.

The Mayor commended the efforts of non-governmental organizations dedicated to this cause and announced plans to work closely with Roshni Helpline to recover missing children and conduct awareness campaigns in public spaces.

Furthermore, Wahab mentioned the ongoing efforts to install manhole covers in areas where they are missing to prevent accidents involving children. He also emphasized the importance of parental vigilance in preventing child abductions, including cases of newborns being stolen from hospitals.
