Tragically, he succumbed to three gunshot wounds. Another victim, 18-year-old Bismillah, met a similar fate in Bhains colony at the hands of armed dacoits. The city also mourned the loss of a 27-year-old mechanical engineer and Hafiz Quran, Itteqa Moeen, who was killed during a robbery in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on June 1.

The inefficacy of the police force in combating street crime has exacerbated the situation, with reports indicating possible collusion between law enforcement officers and criminals. Shocking statistics reveal that more than 250 individuals have been fatally shot, and over 1,052 others have been injured by street criminals between 2022 and 2024.
