Lawsuit filed against Activision, Meta, and Daniel Defense over Uvalde shooting

A recent lawsuit has been filed by the families of victims of the 2022 Uvalde elementary school shooting against Activision, Meta, and Daniel Defense. It further alleges that Activision and Meta promoted the gun to Ramos, while Instagram content related to weapons also influenced him. Koskoff argues that Instagram facilitated Ramos' connection with Daniel Defense, accusing the company of exploiting the platform for marketing purposes.

Activision responded by mentioning the Entertainment Software Association's efforts to address violence in video games. The families have settled with the Texas city and are pursuing additional lawsuits against the Texas Department of Public Safety officers and the school district.
