Senior Minister Punjab, Marriyum Aurangzeb, announced the government's plan to establish a province-wide network of rehabilitation centers for ailing wildlife in Punjab. The initiative aims to treat and cure wildlife that has been poached and mutilated for entertainment purposes. The project will also focus on enhancing public education and awareness on biodiversity with the technical assistance of Four Paws.

During a visit to the Margallah Wildlife Rescue Centre, the Minister observed the rehabilitation of black bears rescued by the Punjab Wildlife Department. The bears, previously subjected to cruel treatment, were rescued on the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab.
