Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Mashal Azam Yousafzai, has announced a comprehensive plan to combat drug addiction and begging in Peshawar. In a recent meeting attended by key officials, including Commissioner Peshawar and Director of Social Welfare, Yousafzai emphasized the need to make Peshawar a drug-free city and prevent the scourge of begging.
One of the key initiatives discussed was the enhancement of Zamong Kor's capacity through collaboration with international organizations. Yousafzai highlighted the importance of monitoring drug addicts post-rehabilitation for a year to prevent relapse. She stressed the significance of providing addicts with skills and training to reintegrate them as productive members of society.
