In a recent meeting held at Shahbaz Building in Hyderabad, Senior Provincial Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon expressed serious concerns regarding the rising trend of substance abuse within educational institutions. Emphasizing the need to protect the youth from falling prey to narcotics, Memon urged for decisive actions to combat drug abuse.

During the meeting, Memon directed the authorities, including DIG Hyderabad Tariq Razzak Dharejo and the Director of the Excise Department, to collaborate in launching joint operations against drug peddlers. He stressed the importance of maintaining transparency by keeping the Sindh Information Department informed about all actions taken against drug-related activities.

Memon highlighted the significance of strengthening the investigative process to disrupt the supply chain of drugs effectively. He urged for swift and impactful measures, stating, 'I want to see change in a few days because it concerns the future of our children.'

To intensify the crackdown on drug smugglers, Memon instructed the Sindh Secretary of the Excise Department to establish a task force comprising competent officers. He proposed the formation of WhatsApp groups to facilitate real-time updates on enforcement actions taken throughout the province.
