A high-level meeting in Sindh led by Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon discusses plans to enhance transport infrastructure, including establishing new bus routes and terminals to improve connectivity and accessibility for residents.

Recently, a high-level meeting led by Sindh’s Senior Minister for Information, Transport & Mass Transit, Sharjeel Inam Memon, focused on enhancing the transport infrastructure in the province. Key officials such as Transport Secretary Asad Zaman and Sindh Mass Transit Authority MD Kamal Hakeem Dayo participated in the meeting, emphasizing the commitment of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari to improve connectivity throughout Sindh.

The plan aims to connect tehsils with district headquarters to make travel more accessible for residents. One significant initiative includes establishing Peoples Bus Service routes from Sukkur to Larkana and Sukkur to Khairpur, aligning with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s vision.

Discussions during the meeting covered updates on Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) projects, signal installations, and the reconstruction of bus terminals. A key decision was made to construct a U-turn dedicated to the Peoples Bus Service to enhance its efficiency. Plans were also outlined to address traffic congestion in central areas of Hyderabad through a new parking plaza.

Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon was briefed on the completion status of eight bus terminals, set to be operational by June. This achievement marks a significant milestone in improving the region’s transport infrastructure, promising better connectivity and convenience for the people of Sindh.
