The Multan Police prepares for a secure by-election, Punjab CM launches 'Clinic on Wheels' for healthcare, and DHQ Hospital improves response to public concerns.
The Multan Police has completed preparations for the upcoming by-election in the NA-148 constituency. A total of 3,829 police officials and personnel will be stationed at 275 polling stations to ensure a secure voting environment. The Regional Police Officer (RPO) stressed the importance of fairness and strict adherence to the election code of conduct, warning of legal consequences for any violations.
Emphasizing the police force's duty to uphold law and order, the RPO urged all officers to fulfill their election duties with diligence and professionalism, leaving no room for error.
In a separate development, the Punjab Chief Minister's 'Clinic on Wheels' project was inaugurated in Peer Colony. This initiative aims to bring healthcare services directly to the local community, offering X-ray facilities, screening tests, family planning services, and other medical assistance.
Underprivileged individuals will benefit from free medical services delivered to their doorsteps through mobile clinics. Additionally, health camps will be established across the city using nine mobile clinic vehicles, providing check-ups, prenatal care for women, and ultrasound services.
Responding to public concerns about inadequate facilities at DHQ Hospital, a woman suffering from appendicitis underwent a successful surgery following social media outcry. The Deputy Commissioner intervened, demanding accountability and warning of repercussions for those responsible.
The hospital swiftly addressed the situation, ensuring the woman received prompt medical care. The Medical Superintendent confirmed the operation's success, highlighting ongoing efforts to handle patient influx and enhance hospital facilities.
The security measures for the NA-148 by-election, the launch of the 'Clinic on Wheels' initiative, and the improved response at DHQ Hospital demonstrate a commitment to public safety and healthcare accessibility in Multan. These developments reflect a proactive approach to addressing community needs and ensuring efficient service delivery.
