The Clinic on Wheels initiative in Bahawalpur, spearheaded by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is making remarkable progress in delivering essential healthcare services to the local community. Recently, Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Zaheer Anwar Jappa conducted a detailed inspection of a medical camp set up in Union Council No. 18, Tanori Town, as part of this initiative.

During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Jappa evaluated the healthcare facilities available to residents, focusing on services like child immunization and screenings for malnutrition. The camp, managed by CEO Health Dr. Syed Tanvir Shah, medical officers, and para-medical staff, offers a wide range of services including testing for sugar levels, blood pressure, hemoglobin, and malnutrition in children. Pregnant women receive regular medical check-ups, and patients are provided with necessary medications.

After the camp visit, Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa engaged with the local community by visiting households in Tanori Town. He interacted with parents, highlighting the importance of the ongoing anti-polio campaign. Additionally, he inspected Government Girls Higher Secondary School 12 BC and Government Girls High School 26 BC, emphasizing the significance of green spaces like the Miyawaki forest and kitchen gardens within school premises. CEO education Muhammad Akram accompanied him during this visit.
