PRCS and ICRC Host Successful Blood Donation Drive

The Blood Donation Drive organized by the Regional Blood Donor Center (RBDC) of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences was a significant part of the Red Cross Red Crescent Week celebrations. The event, themed 'Keeping Humanity Alive,' aimed to promote the noble cause of blood donation and its impact on saving lives.

A total of 137 individuals participated in the blood donation drive, showcasing their commitment to helping others in need. The collective effort is estimated to benefit approximately 411 people by providing essential blood components such as red blood cells, plasma, and Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFPs). The event saw active participation from Red Crescent staff, volunteers, students, faculty members, and other esteemed guests.

The inaugural ceremony held at the FAST University meeting hall was graced by the presence of PRCS officials, the Rector of FAST University, and the Head of the Turkish Delegation in Pakistan. The event not only highlighted the importance of blood donation but also emphasized the spirit of humanitarianism and solidarity among the community.
